WHAT WOULD you DO WITH $1,000,000?

What is The Stock Market Challenge?

The Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge is a unique & dynamic event that brings together professionals from generous companies throughout the Sacramento region for a night of food, drink, fun and friendly competition while supporting youth education in our community. Increase your company's visibility and network with other top companies as you share in the excitement of this one-of-a-kind evening.

Proceeds from the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge benefit students in kindergarten through 12th grade by supporting Junior Achievement programs in Sacramento that teach FINANCIAL LITERACY, WORKFORCE READINESS, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

Don't miss this exclusive event where teams are issued $1,000,000 to buy mock stock in a variety of companies!

Due to the changing market and the game's high energy environment, teams are challenged as they compete to have the largest portfolio by the end of trading.

What does Junior Achievement do?  At no other time in recent history has the need for financial literacy and self-reliance been more evident.  America's children are leaving school without the skills they need to transition to successful adulthood.  At JA we recruit, train, and mobilize a minimum of 750 volunteers each year to teach financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship programs in local schools for grades K-12.  JA volunteers bring the curriculum to life with real world experiences, enhancing the relevancy of education and giving young people the tools they need to take practical steps to achieve their dreams in the future.

What are the funds raised used for?  At JA, we are working to respond to the urgent need for economic empowerment education in our community, but can not keep up with the growing demand.  100% of the money raised by this event goes directly to programs, enabling us to reach more kids with the powerful Junior Achievement experience.  Last year, with only 4 full-time staff equivalents, we reached over 12,500 students in our region (70% of which come from socio-economically challenged communities).  With your help, we can do even more this year!
